My Aplastic Anemia Story – Cancer Center Sarasota Bradenton – Robert Patricelli is 84 years old. He was diagnosed with aplastic anemia by a local doctor and treated with drugs that were supposed to haved cured his disease. He was given blood transfusions 2-3 times a week. The drugs were causing renal failure leading to fatigue, lack of energy, and at times confusion. His family Doctor, Dr. Marcellus saw his health declining and referred him to Dr. Mamus at the Cancer Center of Sarasota Manatee.
