idunno.. but Go Ask Alice is a diary-based book, which is yes, based on a teen drug addict’s diary. You’ll find out a lot about teenagers and drugs and underage sex and prostitution. Really good book. I believe Crank is just about the same, although I’ve never read it, but I’ve heard a lot of good about it. There’s also cut, and It Happened to Nancy (and some more behind the title, but I forgot), by Beatrice something. Go Ask Alice was the only one I read though.
